These First designs came across a bit soft and drape like which doesn't really connect with the indie kind of target market I'm aiming for.
Designs need to be sharpened up and made more structures but still keeping with and street none formal vibe.
E.G. Shirts but no ties, nice crews, and jackets or coats that look a little more street than office business.
Designs Start to Sharpen up here and the colored shirt features alot as a base layer as comes across as well presented and sharp but can be made to look like doesn't belong in an office or black tie event.
Trying to represent the raw elements of the wharf and the structure it holds is what ties this back to the previously designed collection.
Also the paneling and silhouettes stay relatively similar with alot being balanced but elongated on 1 side or draped at back/tailed.
An Attempt to add logo and the triangle pattern from last assignment. these triangles could be a quilted stitch or even actual triangles stuck on weather metal or another material as only in part and more of a feature than a structural element.
( kind of like those knits with large pins through them )
Attempts and replicating hood shape from last collection.
Thought was that the taper across face could be removable and clicks in with domes. essentially would be like a scarf/wind blocking attachment that covers across some of face but would keep warmth.
Also references Ski jackets and the face covers that attach into ski goggles.
Large jersey wool knits that replicate the chain from last collection.
similar aesthetic but with a more wearable element, could be a bit soft for market so tried to make more sharp.
was thinking possibly a high angled neck for warmth but then adding a different sleeve.
perhaps leather as plays with the sharp tough look.
Also found a manufacturer of large wool to knit that comes in natural colours so can get wool white or that off white and even mix colour with a orange brown from black sheep.
Could be good if mix of the off white and black sheep wool.
basically looks like chain colour and an all natural process
